How To Hire Us

01

THE FIRST INTERVIEW

The attorney will initially communicate with Sunita Advaney, the Client Relations Manager and Project Team Leader for Paralegal Support Services. Sunita will assess the needs of the attorney and translate the work needed into measurable projects with deadlines and payment terms.  Attorneys can communicate with Sunita by phone, secure e-mail, and confidential video chat. To schedule an initial interview with Sunita, call (574) 307-8386 or e-mail Sunita@eparalegals.net.

02

THE PROJECT PROPOSAL

After completion of the initial consultation and the Profile Questionnaire, Sunita will then provide the attorney with a Project Proposal for the attorney's review and approval.  The Project Proposal will include the expertise of the virtual paralegals assigned to the project, deadlines for the project and terms for payment.

03

THE INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR AGREEMENT

Once the parties are in agreement with the Project Proposal, Paralegal Support Services will then provide the Independent Contractor Agreement for the attorney to sign.  The Independent Contractor Agreement must be fully executed by the law firm and Paralegal Support Services prior to the commencement of any work.  The Contract is an ongoing document which will be relied on for future projects with the firm.

04

THE SECURE DATA SERVER EXCHANGE SET-UP

There is a one-time initial set-up fee of $160, which needs to be paid in prior to the commencement of any work. The purpose of the fee is to cover the cost of the set-up to work with us virtually through our secure servers. Will Taylor, our Data Security Manager, will set-up the protocols on our encrypted data server for the attorney and virtual paralegal to e-mail, file share, text message, and video conference securely with each other to complete the project.

05

THE WELCOME PACKAGE

Paralegal Support Services will then deliver our Welcome Package to the law firm.  The Welcome Package will include everything that the attorney needs to work seamlessly with the assigned virtual paralegal(s).  The assigned virtual paralegal(s) will receive a similar package to work seamlessly with the attorney.

06

THE PREFERENCES QUESTIONNAIRE

After the initial consultation, Paralegal Support Services will send the attorney our Preferences Questionnaire.  This is a one-time Questionnaire that is filled out by the attorney when they are working with us for the first time. The Preferences Questionnaire will provide us with answers to the attorney's work preferences and personality profile so that the virtual paralegal is a good match and adequately prepared ahead of time to work with the attorney's personal style.

07

THE FIRST MEETING

Howard Anderson, our Virtual Paralegal Coordinator, will facilitate the initial assignment and commencement of the project between the attorney and the virtual paralegal, including introducing the paralegal and the attorney to each other if they are working together for the first time.  He will handle any and all communication and relationship issues between the paralegal and the attorney on-call as needed.

08

PROJECT COMPLETION - PROCESS FOR PAYMENT

After the project has been completed, Paralegal Support Services will send an invoice to the law firm electronically from its Paypal account.  The law firm can pay the invoice online either with a credit/debit card or, if it has a Paypal account, by sending a payment from its own Paypal account to accounts@eParalegals.net. The law firm can also pay the invoice with a credit/debit card by phone, or by check payable to "Paralegal Support Services", 105 E. Jefferson Blvd., Suite 800, South Bend, IN  46601.

09

WE PAY OUR SUB-CONTRACTOR FREELANCE PARALEGALS

When Paralegal Support Services receives payment from the law firm, Paralegal Support Services pays the virtual paralegal(s) that completed the work for the attorney per the agreed terms.  Paralegal Support Services will send its own 1099s to its virtual paralegal sub-contractors. This reduces the law firm's cost, increases the paralegal's revenue, and we are compensated for providing our services to both sides.  It is a win-win-win set-up for everybody.

10

GIVE US ANOTHER PROJECT!

We appreciate and value the business and the opportunities attorneys provide us to do work for them. To send us future work, we provide the firm with a simple one-page Project Request Form to send to us for approval.  The only time we will require a new Independent Contractor Agreement is if there are material changes to the terms. Otherwise, no contract, no set-up fee, and no hassles once we have the attorney in our system.
